Natural History
Natural history can be a misleading
phrase because it is very different from history that you would study in
a history class in high school. Natural history is actually the study of
natural phenomenon. This includes geology, plants, mammals, birds,
invertebrates, amphibians, and environmental systems.
Read on for a brief introduction to the natural history of the Nine Mile Run
watershed, including what Frick Park looked like millions of years ago or which
animals make their home in Frick Park today. Or grab a pair of binoculars, some
field guides, and head outside.
