Volunteers helping keep Nine Mile Run clean
Over 60 volunteers showed up on this beautiful Spring morning to help close rogue paths, seed and clean up.
Thanks for coming out!

Luke Stamper and Ranger Tim lead our intrepid group as we braved cold temperatures and snow to learn about identifying trees in the winter by their bark and buds.
This year's State of the Watershed event was a great success! Over 50 attendees had the chance to hear from NMRWA, ask questions, learn about wetlands from our keynote speaker Tom Biebighauser and participate in some exciting workshops.

Keynote Speaker Tom Biebighauser addresses attendees at Frick Environmental Charter School about the importance of healthy wetlands.

Right, discussion during a coffee break. Below, Tom discusses the effects of erosion from stormwater buildup and how to construct a rain garden.

This event was generously supported by Coca-Cola North America.

Program Assistants Justin Hynicka and Sara Madden instruct volunteers on the proper way to plant trees.
