The Nine Mile Run Watershed Association launched this new initiative in Spring 2011 with generous support from the Richard King Mellon Foundation.  StormWorks expands our residential stormwater management services beyond our small watershed.  StormWorks is a social enterprise, helping us to achieve our mission, both through the actual products and services it offers and by generating earned income to support the work of NMRWA.

StormWorks offers the Nine Mile Run staff’s expertise to people throughout Allegheny County who are interested in managing stormwater more responsibly on their property.  Rain Gardens, Rain Barrels, and Trees comprise the initial product line.  We recommend having a StormWorks representative come out to your home or small business for a consultation, to assess your stormwater foot print and determine the best solution for your individual situation.  Some people may be able to make use of all three approaches, while others will find that only one suits their particular needs.  We charge $75 for the consultation.  However, if you decide to purchase a StormWorks product, that fee is then deducted from the cost of the product.
