About Us » Strategic Plan
In December 2012, the Board of Directors of the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association completed and adopted a new three-year strategic plan. Working with Fourth Economy consultants, the Board carefully considered the rapid changes taking place in the Pittsburgh region's understanding of and approach to water resources, stormwater management, and green infrastructure.
Please take a few minutes to look over the plan that resulted: NMRWA Strategic Plan 2013-2015
The Nine Mile Run Watershed Association works to restore and protect the Nine Mile Run watershed. Through outreach and education, we involve local leaders and volunteers in community greening initiatives to foster a healthy urban environment.
NMRWA will be a recognized national model of environmental stewardship, urban renewal, public/private collaboration, and inter-municipal cooperation.
Key three-year strategic goal:
To reduce the flow of stormwater and sewage into Nine Mile Run.
